1 Thing You Must Never Do If You Want To Be Successful

Being successful does not happen overnight however others may say it so. Successful people may have their own idiosyncrasies to do things their way, and ensure that things are done at the most convenient way possible. However, this does not happen all the time.

There are a lot of characteristics that need to be in a successful person and it is not easy to slim down the common denominator of successful people, much more the one thing that they do not do. Breaking it down however to their personal habits, it seems that the 1 thing you must never do if you want to be successful is cram.

Making the most of the time that you have is very important to becoming successful. If you love doing something, do it. And do it as often as you can. There may be other things that you have to do in order to support a hobby, or your interest but always make time for what you love doing. In everything that you do however, whether you finished your job for the day or simply lazed around, all these have consequences and results. Do as much as you can in a day towards your goal. Remember that -- as clich̩ as it may sound Рtime is of the essence; time is gold.

If you are going to see how successful people got to where they are, most if not all of them, do not sleep as much as others. Some stay awake for 48 hours or even more pursuing their passion. This is especially true in the entertainment industry where every single second is a drop to the pool of your success. Famous scientists and luminaries in different fields like Thomas Edison, Napoleon, Winston Churchill, Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson among others would only sleep or nap for 15 minutes or so every after 4 hours and have only 2 hours of straight sleep for the rest of the night.

This may not be applicable to some as Albert Einstein needed 10 hours of sleep per night. However, in daytime he continuously works on different inventions and projects. Choose the activities that would help you reach your goal however minute.

Working for your goals does not happen only 8 hours a day, when you are in the office. It happens in your every waking moment. Spend some time doing extra than what you normally do, or what is asked of you. This will put you to the edge and hone your skills. Aim for excellence all the time and when you are to do something, do it well every single time.

Putting things off for tomorrow is one thing, but organizing and prioritizing your activities is another. You may be working hard and working a lot on what you want, but you are not working smart. Planning is half doing. Take a few minutes to at least organize your activities whether on paper on just mentally and follow them through. Nothing is ever impossible with working hard and working smart and that includes maximizing your time with activities worth pursuing.
